Getting Around Riga

Founded in 1205, with its UNESCO recognitions, Michelin restaurants, and charming Old Town, this city it worth a stay before or after EURYPAA.

Welcome to Riga! Getting from the airport to the EURYPAA 2026 venue is easy, whether you prefer public transport, a taxi, or a rideshare.

From Riga Airport to Bellevue Park Hotel Riga

🚕 Taxi

Taxis are available directly outside the arrivals terminal.

Travel time: approximately 15–20 minutes (depending on traffic).

Always use official taxi services or book through a reputable app to avoid overpaying.

🚶 Walking

Many of Riga's attractions are within walking distance of each other, especially in the city centre and Old Town.

The EURYPAA venue is located near Victory Park and is well connected to central Riga by foot, tram, and rideshare services.

Helpful Apps

Before travelling, you may wish to download:

📱 Bolt – taxi, rideshare, scooters, food delivery

📱 Mobilly – public transport tickets, parking, and other local services

📱 Google Maps – reliable public transport and walking directions

A Friendly Suggestion

Many life-changing experiences happen at YPAA events. Missing your workshop because you got on the wrong tram doesn't have to be one of them.

When in doubt, ask another alcoholic. Someone always knows where they're going. Usually.

🚗 Bolt

The host committee recommends using Bolt, the most popular rideshare app in Latvia and widely used by both locals and visitors.

Simply download the app, enter your destination, and follow the pickup instructions at the airport. Bolt rents scooters, also.

Travel time: approximately 15–20 minutes.

For many visitors, Bolt is the easiest and most affordable option.

🚌 Public Transport

Riga Airport is connected to the city by regular bus service.

Bus routes connect the airport with the city centre, where you can easily continue to the venue by tram, bus, on foot, or a short Bolt ride.

From Riga Airport, hop on Bus No. 22 and enjoy the ride for nine stops. Get off at the tenth stop (Daugavgrīvas iela) and take a short 7-minute walk (approximately 500 metres / one-third of a mile) to Bellevue Park Hotel Riga, the home of EURYPAA 2026.

No complicated transfers, no spiritual awakening required—just one bus and a short walk.

Travel time: approximately 30–45 minutes depending on connections.

Public transport tickets can be purchased using the Mobilly app, at ticket machines, or directly on board using a contactless bank card.

🚋 Public Transport

Riga has an extensive public transport network consisting of:

  • Trams

  • Buses

  • Trolleybuses

Most destinations can be reached quickly and affordably.

Contactless bank cards are accepted on public transport, making travel easy for international visitors.
